No. The answer is no. A complete normal life, absolutely not. There are degrees -- there are degrees of how much you can rehabilitate a dog like that, which obviously, you want to teach him qualities that he should have learned as a puppy, of love and trust and connecting and being socialized.
Summary-I think this is a very good quote/ question and answer. I think it is impossible for a pit bull to live a normal live style. It is just like a war veteran coming home and they cannot function properly because they are mentally and physically screwed up. This same scenario applies to pit bulls being rescued from dog fights. They still have the fighter mentally even when they go to a safe environment. They were taught to fight when they saw another dog. Sometimes the dog fighter just puts the streets so the dog has to fight for food. So when a pit bull sees a dog on the street it will attack and unfortunately a small child could be seen by a pit bull and it could be seriously injured. Some pit bulls are glad to be resc ued and will never fight again but some are to mentally impaired and cannot be transformed back to normal.
